WAVE SNOW GLOBE

Created for an exhibition about the Japanese artist Hokusai - modeled after his most well-known print. Using a new painting technique, CSGs devised a way to see deep into the crystal wave to the deep ocean colors below. The coastline binds together the steadfast strength of the land with the awesome power of the ocean. And waves are the result. They build slowly from within, shaped by the ocean floor and the gathering strength of the sea. Their crescendo is a beautiful moment of power unleashed. Blues and greens intermingle, the foam churns white, and the spectacular cycle begins again. 100mm glass globe on a square white base.
